Michelle is a partner with Lovoy, Summerville & Shelton, P.C.
and is responsible for providing audit, tax and consulting services
to our clients. She is a native of Huntsville, Alabama
and is a graduate of Auburn University. Michelle received her
CPA certificate in 1999.
Michelle began her career in 1992 with an international accounting
firm in the audit division. In
1999, she started her own accounting practice in Auburn, Alabama
providing accounting, audit, tax and consulting services to clients
in a variety of industries including manufacturing, real estate,
construction, retail, not-for-profit and governmental.
Michelle joined her practice with Lovoy, Summerville, & Shelton, P.C.
in July 2007 and is the managing partner of the Auburn office.
During her career, Michelle has been responsible for audit and tax engagements
for both public and non-public companies as well as various attest
functions for privately held and non-profit entities.
She has also provided various consulting services related to
low-income housing development and tax credits for low-income
housing industry.

Michelle is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public
Accountants, the Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants and
the East Alabama Chapter of the Alabama Society.
She is also a member of the Auburn University School of
Accountancy Advisory Board, the National Society of Certified Public
Accountants and the AICPA Government Audit Quality Center.
Michelle previously served as Board Treasurer of the Child
Advocacy Center of East Alabama, Inc. Michelle and her husband,
Glen, along with their children, Carson and Coleman live in Auburn
and are active members in Auburn United Methodist Church.
