(205) 314-3860 Jamie is a shareholder with Lovoy, Summerville & Shelton, P.C. and provides audit, tax and consulting services to our clients. He is a native of Florence, Alabama and is an honors graduate of Birmingham-Southern College. He received his CPA certificate in 1994. Jamie began his career in 1991 in the tax department of the Birmingham office of an international accounting firm. During 1996, he joined a Southeast regional accounting firm serving in the capacity of Manager until he joined Lovoy, Summerville & Shelton, P.C. in the Fall of 2002. During his career, Jamie has been involved in tax compliance and consulting for both public and non-public companies as well as various attest functions for privately held and non-profit entities. He also has provided various consulting services related to LIFO conformity, UNICAP, stock/asset purchases, buy/sell agreements, and business valuation and litigation support issues as well as related party transactions and various closely held business issues and IRS examinations. Jamie is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Birmingham Chapter of the Alabama Society.

Jamie is also a former member of the Birmingham-Southern College Athletic Foundation Board of Directors and the 1998 Birmingham Chamber Leadership Development class. Jamie serves on the Board of Stewards and the Finance Committee at Riverchase United Methodist Church as well as the Leadership and Visioning Committee of the South Central District of the North Alabama Conference of the United Methodist Church. In addition, Jamie coaches boys baseball throughout the year. |
